Constructed of gilded bronze with silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse with pebbled arms, overlaid by a silver Baden griffin clutching a sword and shield bearing the Grand Duchys coat of arms, unmarked, measuring 23. 18 mm (w) x 26. 45 mm (h), weighing 6. 3
