A round, silver medal, the obverse centre presents the German national eagle bearing a swastika over the chest, the reverse centre presents the inscription FR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR (FOR RESCUING FROM DANGER), surrounded by an oak leaf wreath, measuring 25. 04 mm in diameter, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in overall near very fine condition.
