The album was originally released at the beginning of 1984 and came more than five years after its well received predecessor, 1978s Nested. Thanks to a small buzz surrounding Nyros return to the spotlight after a period of semi retirement, Mothers Spiritual became her last US chart entry, reaching #182 on the Billboard 200.
