Polished Magnesite specimen. MAP188 black conglomerate (Porphyritic basalt)MAP188. Magnesite (Lemon chrysoprase) rough rock, cut and polished on one side with a natural back. Dimensions at widest points approximately 120 mm x 50 mm x 60 mm thick. Weighs 840 grams. Thick enough to cut more slices or leave intact as a display specimen ! The subtle lime green colouration is caused by the presence of nickel mineralisation. From north of Kalgoorlie , Western Australia.
